Deborah Sachs: words & music
The Melodie Unheard
(Music & lyrics by Deborah Sachs)
In the dark’ning blue, a vision…never before, never again.
Could I have dreamed you and the way you seemed to see straight through my skin?
Not a soul on earth suspected until that midsummer night when you said,
“Greetings, Titania. Greetings, Titania. Greetings, Titania.”
More than heard, I felt your words stir mem’ries lost inside.
Like stars colliding, our spirits touched and turned the blue to white.
When spirits touch, the world is filled with music and romance.
The spiraling glow makes it hard to know the dancers from the dance.
I believe the sweetest music is the melodie unheard,
unspoken affection, the charming selection of one disarming word.
When you supposed this miller’s daughter a faerie queen in disguise,
I saw Titania reflected in your eyes.
In the dark’ning blue, a white (k)night…never before, never again.
